The Woodlands Fitness Centre at the heart of Dronfield town is testament to excellent customer service, and is able to boast long-standing dedicated members since it opened in 1995.

The Woodlands mission is,

"to offer all Woodlands Fitness Centre members the most research based, valid and specific exercise programmes that will transform the way they exercise, and to support this with outstanding levels of customer support.

Woodlands is not your normal health club. You don’t just, pay your fees and jump on a bike like many clubs in the Fitness Industry. At Woodlands we take pride in our service and the unique way in which we operate.

Our link with our ongoing training provider - Performance Training Solutions (PTS) and The National Academy Of Sports Medicine (NASM) ensures that all our staff deliver scientifically proven programmes that get results.

Our training is second to none, our customer support is the best in the business and in a world of poor communication – we know all members by their first name".

The thing that strikes you most when you walk into the Woodlands, is the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, which exudes from the reception area through to the gym, where you can hear friendly banter amongst the members.

The additional features of the club include a sunbed room, sports physio massage/treatment room and beauty room, which is run by Michelle Burley and Sarah Collins.

Also, identifying the need for mums, there is a creche facility during the children's holidays - make sure to book 24 hours in advance to secure a place.

The importance of membership being an opportunity to socialise and make friends is also paramount - there are various social activities organised locally throughout the year, from walks, to dining out; there is a running club and triathlon club too.

The Woodlands is the main sponsor of the annual Dronfield 10k Run - so far this year, they have raised an impressive £2200 and hope to increase by a further £1000 by the end of the year.
