The aim of the Parish Web site is to provide background information regarding Unstone Parish Council.
 
The Parish council was established in 1895 and comprises of a part time clerk and 10 elected councillors. The council provides a number of services both directly (e.g. the community Hall) and in partnership with other bodies (e.g. Police consultative) for the benefit of the local community.
 
Unstone Parish council is currently an independent controlled council.

A Parish council is a local authority, with its members being elected for a period of 4 years The last elections where in 2003. The main source of income for a Parish council is the precept which forms part of the council tax bill.
