The Travellers Rest is set to be THE music venue and place to be.  Always known for quality entertainment, there is a packed schedule of excellent music for everyone.  Every Wednesday catch a quality live local band, a great mix to suit all tastes.   Saturday night is party night - the last Saturday of every month you can see top quality bands such as the legendary Frank White, Swinging 60s band The Rapids, a fantastic band of lads and dads The Beat Merchants made up of drummer John Firminger, a long time group member of Dave Berry and the Cruisers, and Gerry Scanlan, former member of sixties band Bitter Suite, and current member of the legendary Phil Brodie band, plus more.  As well as the above, regular artists appear on the 2nd and last Monday of every month - Fantastic jazz band New Orleans Strollers play the last Monday and excellent small band with BIG sound Swingamathing play the 2nd Monday. The last Friday of the month you can catch JJ Galway and his clan between 5pm and 9pm for a rip roaring, heel shunting, toe tapping session of folk, rock, traditional irish and a faithful following of accordian players and penny whistle blowers to boot!!!!
