The Maynard, set in the heart of Grindleford in the Peak District, is a wonderful country hotel and restaurant, and has undergone a fabulous refurbishment during 2008 to bring the accommodation and hospitality up to 21st century standards, whilst respecting its heritage of over a 100 years. The Peak District view from the garden restaurant and bedrooms is stunning and is a perfect tranquil setting, albeit extremely accessible to the outside world, with Grindleford train station on the doorstep and within easy reach of the M1, A57 and Snake Pass by car.

The Maynard is renowned for its wedding facilities, and is licenced for civil weddings and civil partnerships. The ballroom can accommodate comfortably 130 people for a traditional wedding breakfast and up to 300 for an evening reception and has a wonderful traditional wooden sprung floor, fantastic for dancing well into the night.

If you are planning on staying, the bedrooms have been uniquely created by a local leading interior designer, furnished in a modern contemporary style, featuring super king-size beds, plasma screens, satellite tv with over 60 channels including sky sports and Wi-fi internet connections.
