The Jungle Nursery was registered in 2010. We operate from a purpose built, two storey, building that was converted for the use of a high quality nursery. There are three main play rooms, separate library and a dining room.
The nursery is open from 7.30am till 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. All the children share a secure enclosed outdoor play area and each play room has its own exit to allow easy use of the outdoor area.
The Jungle has a strong dedicated team of staff, all holding relevant childcare qualifications, who work hard at providing a welcoming and stimulating environment for your children. All children are recognised as individuals and as such all the curriculum planning is based around their interests and needs. Good relationships with our parents are important to us and we encourage them to take an active role in their child’s learning and development.
The safety and well being of your child is essential. In the reception area there is a buzzer system in place which notifies staff that a visitor is waiting. Staff allow entry into the main nursery via a security button inside a locked office or by a 'Fob' key worn by full time members of staff.
As a parent you naturally want the best care for your child and will be looking for a nursery which meets your childcare needs and expectations. The Jungle has been designed with this in mind combining all essential ingredients to create the best possible childcare setting.
Lion Cubs (0-2 years)
Babies of 6 weeks and upwards are looked after by qualified nursery nurses, in their own quiet, stimulating room filled with soft cushions, chairs, cots, colourful displays and a warm cosy environment. This is the happy place with a safe environment for when you baby starts to crawl, walk and explore.
Tiny Turtles (2-3 years)
Your child will start to learn all round development skills which are incorporated from the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children get messy playing with spaghetti and jelly; they splash in the water trough, dig in the sand pit and make creative masterpieces for you to keep forever.
Social interaction is beneficial at this age. Your child will become aware of their peers and develop friendships.
Cheeky Chimps (3-5 years)
Pre-school rooms offer stimulating exciting activities to stretch skills and imagination which will give your child a head start for when they start school.
Our preschool teachers ensure that children feel confident and praise their success. High standards are achieved as staff have a wide knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and the Early Learning Goals that children are moving towards achieving. These are communication, language and literacy, mathematical development, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical development, creative development, personal, social and emotional development.
