Set in between Apperknowle and Hundall, with stunning views of the rolling hills, and only 5 minutes drive from Dronfield, this idyllic country pub dates back over 300 years, retaining many of the original features from its historic past.
The pub offers traditional and modern British style food with a contemporary twist here and there, prepared and cooked using only the freshest and finest quality produce sourced locally, wherever possible. The exception to this rule is Friday Fish night, where the highest quality cod is delivered fresh from Grimsby!
Thursday night is Steak Night with mouth watering Sirloin or Rib Eye Steak, available for only £7.95 - £8.95.
Friday night is Fish Night, with Fresh Grimsby Cod available for £6.95 or home-made pie of the day for just £4.95. Evening food is served between 5pm and 8pm.
Sunday lunch is served from 12pm - 3pm and offers a choice of meats at £5.95. Kids eat for £3.95 and the Under 5s eat free!
A large function room is available for celebrations and funerals. We will be happy to discuss your requirements and can cater for anything from a simple cold finger buffet to an extravagent banquet! For parties of 50 or more, we can provide a karaoke/disco free of charge!
