Little Acorns - Learning Through Play
 
Children are most dear to parents and carers and it is important that they are left in a secure and caring environment.  Early years are the most important years of a child's life.  Our recruitment of the right people is reflected in the safe and caring environment provided at Little Acorns Nursery School.  The nursery believes in providing a secure fun environment in which you can leave your child with the confidence that they are cared for by highly trained staff.  At Little Acorns you can be assured that the care is of the finest quality and we will work closely with you to meet your needs.  We provide care for children from 3 months to 5 years and an after school and summer club is also provided in the future developments.

Little Acorns nursery school is a private day nursery school registered for 40 children, offerng a full range of facilities and activities.  The nursery has been designed to offer large spacious areas for babies, toddlers, 2-3s and pre-school, and the potential for an after school and summer club.  The nursery has been renovated and refurbished and offers extensive indoor and outdoor facilities.   Competitive rates for full time, part time and sessional rates are available.

The nursery is run by Indra Athi who has a hands on role within the nursery.  Indra Athi is a qualified teacher and has extensive experience in teaching at all levels.  Therefore the nursery has adopted the full name of a nursery school as opposed to a day care nursery.  There is a strong educational learning commitment throughout the nursery and has a motto of Learning through play which is practised by designing and delivering creative and fun learning plans and activities.

The nursery is fully committed to following The Office of Standards in Education (OFSTED) 14 standards and has received the first Ofsted audit/inspection, which was a success.  The nursery has all the necessary documentation that OFSTED requires and this documentation folder is available for inspection at any time.  The nursery is working towards a Quality Framework, aiming to achieve a Bronze level standard.  The folder sets out all the policies, procedures, rules and regulations as stated by OFSTED and other official bodies such as the Fire Safety Officers and the Health Safety Executive.  All parents and carers are encouraged to read through the folder.

All About Us
Little Acorns is a private nursery offering spacious areas for all ages from 3 months to 5 years.  We aim to provide an excellent day care for all children, with an emphasis on learning through play.  We have a highly qualified and dedicated employee team led by an experienced and qualified teacher.  All staff will hold/work towards receiving certificates in first aid, child protection and basic food hygiene.  The nursery offers hot meals prepared daily on the premises and all the menus are designed to offer a number of fully nutriously balanced meals and snacks. 

The nursery operates a full CCTV and intercom system providing a secure and warm learning environment.  The CCTV system allows parents to view, at their convenience, their child at play in the nursery.  There is a secure and safe outdoor play area fully equipped with excellent outdoor toys and games, including planting area and eating area.

There is ample parking space for parents to drop off and pick up children
