FLAT CAPS & FERRETS RACE NIGHT FOR BLUEBELL WOOD
A Flat Caps & Ferret Race Night is to be held on Friday 30 September 2011 at The Arkwright Centre, Chesterfield to raise funds for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

The hospice cares for children with life limiting illnesses and their families. www.bluebellwood.org


The doors and the bar open at 7.30pm and the first race starts at 8pm. It is great fun and tickets are £10 including a pie & pea supper.

Here’s How It Works: 

There will be five races as heats, with the inner from each heat going through to the GRAND FINAL.

Each race will have five ferrets, drawn from a pool of 12; no two races will have the same ferrets in the same order.

At the tote table, place a bet on whichever ferret jockey you think will be best able to encourage his/her ferret to win the race. You can bet on as many ferrets as you wish.

You will be given a ticket for each bet. Hold on to this, as you’ll need it to claim your winnings.  When all bets have been placed, the race will begin. If you are
lucky enough to bet on the winning ferret, collect your winnings from the tote table immediately after the race has finished.

A fantastic night of fun in aid of a very worthy cause.
