Get creative over coffee at the Fired Arts Cafe on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield.
Owner, Shelley Carline, took over the business in 2008, and offers a great experience for kids and adults alike to bring out their creative skills using paints, decopatch and other techniques, whether it's a splodgy toddler hand or foot print, or a creative masterpiece, each finished article is unique and a gift to treasure.
There is nothing more valuable than helping your little ones create something special. And kids love nothing more than to get creative and messy! There are plenty of plates, cups and pots to decorate, using paints, stampers and stencils.
There are four different party packages to choose from, which include pot painting, mosaic making, bath bombs, or decoupatch. Further details can be found in the children's party section on Dronfield Online.
As well as providing fun time for kids, Shelley holds regular adult workshops on various techniques, from silk and glass painting, marbling, sgraffito, batik painting, and jewellry & fimo arts to name a few. Depending on the workshop subject, the classes are run by either Shelley or other visiting artists. Classes are popular and booking is advisable.
In addition, Thursday night is chill out night for adults only. The cafe is open until 10pm and you are welcome to spend an evening with like minded creative people. Why not take a bottle of wine to share with friends and some nibbles, or order a take-away whilst you get busy with your crafts. For groups of 10 or more, the cafe can be opened any night of the week by prior arrangement.
And it doesn't stop there. Hen parties are becoming increasingly popular as a kooky alternative to the traditional nightclub venue. Shelley will be more than happy to share ideas and wishes, and the hen can go home with a gift to remember, rather than a night she might rather forget!
Fired Arts is also totally mobile! Why not arrange a visit to your school or scout/guide group, and let the children take part in some hands-on syllabus linked craft project? Or, arrange a special session at your parent and toddler group and let your little one create a hand or foot print, or paint a mug or plate to create a special gift or keepsake.
If you are fund raising for your group, a donation of 10% for each pot will go to your cause. For further details call Shelley on 0114 2670797.
And finally, no cafe would be worth its salt without a good range of coffees, teas, and yummy cakes - of course, served up on a brightly decorated plate!
Day times, evenings, weekends or holidays, come rain or shine, days are always bright at Fired Arts!
