DRONFIELD'S OLIVIA FORD SET TO CARRY OLYMPIC TORCH IN 2012!!

DRONFIELD'S OLIVIA FORD SET TO CARRY OLYMPIC TORCH IN 2012!!
Dronfield teenager, Olivia Ford has been chosen to be an Olympic Torchbearer for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Olivia was diagnosed at 6 weeks old with Cystic Fibrosis, and then developed Cystic Fibrosis Diabetes and Liver Disease when she was 8.

However, in spite of having to endure 60 tablets a day, physiotherapy twice daily, and a pump fitted to her with a line giving her insulin constantly through the day, NOTHING can hold this amazing girl back.

She is actively involved in Drama School, as well as being a key member of the Worship Band at St Andrew's Community Church.  Her dream is to be an actress or singer when she is older, and her solo vocal performance recently at the St Andrew's Nativity Concert truly showed her dedication to pursuing a career in the arts.

She is such an inspiration to everyone who meets her, never complaining about her illness, and her proud parents nominating her to be an Olympic Torchbearer has paid off with dividends.

This will be a fantastic experience for Olivia, and a proud moment for residents of our community.

We all wish her the very best of luck and no doubt we will be scrutinizing the tv footage for a glimpse of her!!!

Further details of the area she will be covering are expected to be announced after Christmas.
