Dronfield Town Saturday Seniors were in the 3rd round of the league cup and made the long trip to deepest Lincolnshire, to face a Louth Town team who sit proudly at the top of the division above Town. Despite losing a thrilling game 2-1, Town produced an absolute fantastic display against a team that has not lost a competitive game for 14 months. Town's goal was scored by the excellent Richard Mintoft, but credit goes to all the team who certainly enhanced the club’s reputation as they were clapped off the pitch after the game by the large home crowd.

Next week Town are back in league action, on home soil on Stonelow, against FCO5 from Mansfield - 2pm k/o all support welcome.

The Saturday Seniors Reserves were awarded 10 out of 10 by beating second placed Harworth Town Reserves 2-1. Town have now won all their 10 Central Midlands League  games and occupy top spot with a 10 point lead ! Promotion is firmly in sight for John Marples men.  Despite going down a goal early on Town showed real commitment and spirit to remain unbeaten this season. Goals from midfield general Danny Welch and the winner from Adam 'afternoon delight'  Fordham were enough to secure another three points. Town travel to Pinxton next week looking for another win in the league.

There was a good all round team performance from the Saturday Seniors A side who beat Totley Sports 2-1 thanks to goals from Michael “Tarbourthorne” Kenny and Scott “Tabbs” Cropper.

Gary Baker got the consolation goal for the battling Over 35’s who were beaten 6-1 in the cup by Premiership side AFC Minnies.

The Sunday Seniors made it eight games unbeaten and also progressed to the third round of the Derbyshire cup with a 1-0 win against FC Mackworth. Alec Ransome with the decisive goal. Despite having ten men for the last half hour, Joe Kelsey marshalled Town to an excellent victory and safe passage to the next round.

The Under 17’s are cooly confident of league honours this season and remain unbeaten, and well on course, thanks to a comfortable 9-0 win over a sporting Ecclesall Rangers. A hat trick from Johnny Pugh, a double from Liam Hogg, one each from Bradley Howard, Jamie Willis and Johnny Cropper, yes it’s true, Johnny Cropper and an own goal.

The Under 17’s (Colts) were far too strong for Wasps winning their game 9-1. Sam Bradwell with four and single strikes from Oliver Westerman, Chris Binney, Tom Collier, George Glossop and the in form Tom Morton. 
 
Danny Rose had a great game for The Under 16’s but the team were beaten 4-1 by Emus. Jordan Sergeant with the Town goal.

The Under 14’s beat  Rotherham Phoenix 3-2. Two from Elliot Allen-Facey including a 20 yard rocket and one from James Cooke.
Despite a dominating performance from Alex Pugh and Town hitting the woodwork on numerous occasions, the unlucky Under 13’s eventually lost their cup game 4-2 to Greasborough. Luke Woodhouse and Dale Jones with the Town goals.
 
Driven on by the excellent Isaac Tilly, the Under 11’s came from behind to beat Woodhouse 3-1 and continue their excellent winning form. Jamie Jenkinson, Jake Tyson and Jak Moss with the goals. Goalkeeper Matthew Bagley pulling off a wonderful save at a crucial stage of the game to keep the score at 2-1. 

Christopher Redfearn starred for the Under 10’s in a 6-0 victory over Kiveton Park. Joe Whittaker with two and one each from Michael Oliver, Jack Clayton, Adam Boardman and the outstanding Matthew Yates. 

The Under 7’s performed really well in a cracking performance against Ecclesfield Red Rose with lots of good attacking play. Gabriel Gisborne, James Denton and Joe White all claimed hat tricks and Edward Shaw and George Jones were also on the score sheet for the excellent Town babes. 

Town Ladies aren’t having the rub of the green at the moment and were again beaten by a 1-0 scoreline, this time at the hands of Medway. Jessica Warwick outstanding for a luckless Town. 

The Under 17’s (Girls) hit form with a Brazilian style performance to beat Socrates 7-1. Terri Williamson with a strong midfield performance and a hat trick, Laura Allison with two and one each from Ruby Burns and Jessica Walker.

An improved 2nd half performance from the Under 12’s (Girls) Dragons earned them a well deserved 1-1 draw against Steel City. Hannah Newbold notching the equaliser from the penalty spot.

The Under 10’s (Girls) got back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Wickersley Reds.  One goal each from Alex Fairhurst, Ellie May and the impressive Holly Beeby.
