We offer a full range of services including general medical services as well as child health surveillance, ante- and post-natal care, skin surgery and contraception.
In July 2004 the practice became the first in North Derbyshire to receive the Quality Practice Award from the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Every six to eight weeks we set aside an afternoon for staff development issues - these QUEST sessions are fully supported by the Primary Care Trust.
The dates of these sessions are publicised well in advance. This means the surgery will be closed on these afternoons but emergency doctor cover is always provided.

When the surgery is closed....

When the doctors surgery is closed you can still obtain medical help or advice by phoning 01246 412242. Your call will automatically be re-directed to the NHS Direct / Derbyshire Healthcare partnership. You will initially be asked to give details of the patient to a call handler. A trained nurse will then call you back to assess your problem.

As a result of your call you may be offered :-
- telephone advice
- an appointment at the Primary Care Centre at Scarsdale in Chesterfield.
