Climb Kilimanjaro and Support Boots for Africa

Climb Kilimanjaro and Support Boots for Africa
Sheffield FC Chairman, Richard Tims, is now well into his training regime to tackle his proposed sponsored climb up Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011. Richard is now looking for people to make up his squad to accompany him on the climb and help him raise much needed funds for the club’s registered charity ‘Boots for Africa’.
‘Boots for Africa’ is a charity that has a simple aim, to collect unwanted, used or new, pairs of football boots and ship them out to Africa to hand out to the children there to provide them with the opportunity to play the beautiful game with pride.
The ‘Boots for Africa Kilimanjaro Climb’ takes place between June 25th and July 5th 2011, and will include a 6 day (5 nights) climb, plus a 1 day safari. The trip will cost £2500 per person from which a guaranteed minimum donation of £500 per person will be made to ‘Boots for Africa’ – people are of course free to raise more if they can.
To register your interest in taking part in the climb, you should contact ‘Boots for Africa’ by emailing info@bootsforafrica.org or calling 01246 292622 before 31st January 2011. A deposit of £700 to secure your place on the climb will need to be paid by 31st March 2011.
‘Boots for Africa’ are pleased to be organising the sponsored climb in conjunction with Kilimanjaro Tours Limited (www.kilimanjarotours.co.uk), who specialise in mountain trekking and safari holidays in Tanzania
.
