What is baby yoga?
Baby yoga is good fun and gentle exercise for your baby and you, with massage and simple stretches to songs and rhymes, and time for relaxation A typical class involves stretches and movements to a variety of music and nursery rhymes. This helps to make the exercises memorable and fun for both mother and baby.
I am in my fifth year of practicing and teaching baby yoga, and have obtained recognised qualifications including a Diploma in baby yoga, and baby yoga instructor certificate. I am also a fully qualified Yoga Bugs Teacher.

What is Yoga Bugs?
Yoga Bugs is for children aged 2 1/2 to 7 years old and is based around a story or adventure.
A typical class would include a 5 minute warm up, and a 20 minute adventure, for example, a trip to the moon or being at sea with pirates. After the adventure there is a 5 minute period for relaxation and then games.

There are numerous benefits of practicing baby yoga, such as;
It helps parent and baby to bond
It builds security and trust by recognising touch, voice and smell
It is relaxing and calming for both parent and baby
Helps with colic, constipation and digestion
It helps with feeding and sleeping difficulties
And most of all it's fun!

There are also many benefits for toddlers and small children who practice Yoga Bugs. Some of the benefits include;
It helps to improve the child's concentration by breathing exercises.
It helps the child relax which in turn can clear the mind (which is better for memory retention.)
The postures can help recharge a weak immune system and strengthen the core stabilising muscles of the child's abdomen and back
It helps to tone body and reduce rising levels of childhood obesity.
It also maintains the child's natural flexibility
