The Angel Inn, Holmesfield


Located on the main road through the pretty village of Holmesfield, The Angel has recently been taken over by Sue and Julie, who previously looked after the Peacock in Bakewell.

They are keen to bring the village pub atmosphere back to the Angel where you are welcome to call in for a drink, or enjoy some good, hearty, home-cooked food.  Entertainment wise, there is a winter pool league, quiz night is on Thursday and Sunday nights with a cash prize and play your cards right, which attracts teams from far and wide - so if you're up for a challenge .....!! You will have a great night and better still - they put on FREE SARNIES!!

Tuesday and Thursday night is steak night.

On the food side, as well as traditional pub grub, which is all home-cooked, there is a comprehensive specials board offering a mouth-watering choice of speciality dishes such as Lemon Dover Sole, Chicken with Herby Ricotta Cheese wrapped in Parma Ham with a Red Wine reduction, and Fresh Field Mushroom Spinach & Stilton Lasagne - all at excellent value for money - and not forgetting traditional Sunday Lunch. It is worth taking note that special diets can be catered for. Booking for food is not essential.

All meat is locally sourced from nearby butchers and the beef is 28 day matured and lip smackingly tasty!!
